Student Events During Exams

Atkins Library has planned a number of events to help you de-stress, take a break, and relax during exams.

Puzzle Break

Need a short brain break from studying? Stop by the puzzle table in Area 49, near the Visualization Lab and add a few pieces to our community puzzle.

Reading Day Refuel
Join Atkins Library and the Jamil Niner Pantry for Reading Day Refuel! Stop by our tent outside the library and pick up some healthy snacks. Fuel your body and brain so you can be on your A-game for exams this semester.

  • Tuesday, April 30, 12-2 p.m.
  • Outside of Atkins Ground Floor Entrance

Paws for Exam Therapy
Spend some time with certified therapy dogs! All sessions will be held near the back of the first floor:

  • Wednesday, May 1, 6-8 p.m.
  • Friday, May 3, 4-6 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 5, 12-2 p.m.

Recharge Room
Need a break from the books? Head to the 2nd floor Visualization Lab to enjoy a snack, calming music, fun activities, and to grab study items like dry erase markers or index cards that you might be missing.

  • May 1, 2, 3 and 6
  • 1-4 p.m. each day in the Visualization Lab (2nd floor)

Let's Talk in the Library
Let's Talk is a brief, drop-in, and confidential problem-solving consultation with a CAPS team member. Visits are first come, first serve. No appointment is necessary and the wait time is usually brief. This is not therapy and it is not designed for students needing urgent help.

  • Thursday, May 2, 1-3 p.m.

Study Playlist
From chill study music to tunes that will get you pumped, the library has a playlist for you! Check out our student-created playlists any time at spoti.fi/3EuhzB1 and share your suggestion on the whiteboard near the library’s main entrance.
