Library Instruction
Faculty can partner with library instructors to incorporate customized research and information literacy instruction into your courses. We can help your students learn how to find information, read and think critically, and engage in inquiry and the research process.
Research and information literacy instruction aligns with the institutional level student learning outcome related to critical thinking: to include creative thinking, innovation, inquiry and analysis, evaluation and syntheses of information.
Instruction librarians can also:
- create research guides, online learning modules, and tutorials tailored for your discipline or course
- collaborate with instructors to design research assignments and class activities
- conduct workshops to provide ideas for instructors to incorporate research skills into a course
