Electronic Resources

We make every effort to ensure that all licensed electronic resources are accessible to you, but if you discover that content within an electronic resource is not accessible, please report this to Tracie Krumbine by email at tkrumbin@uncc.edu or by phone at 704-687-1146. We will notify that vendor and report the issue.

Interlibrary Loan

If you need materials in large print or other formats that we do not own in an accessible format, we can try to request them for you from another library through the Interlibrary Loan Service. We will make every attempt to get these materials but their availability is based on the lending library.

Item Retrieval

If you can't physically access an item, please ask a staff member at the Information and Research Desk on the first floor to retrieve the item for them. We also offer an item retrieval service to current faculty, staff, and students. You can request items through the online search catalog to be held for pickup at the library. Faculty and Staff may also request items be delivered to their campus office. Patrons should contact us by phone at 704-687-0491, or stop by the Information and Research Desk on the first floor with any questions or concerns.

Print, Copy, and Scan

The library has several printers and a few copiers located on the ground through first floor. You can see the locations on the floor maps and review information and instructions on printing, scanning, and copying on this page. Each printer and copier has a tap reader on the front for easy login, however, you can also log in to the machines with your 800 number or NinerNet username. Please stop by the Information and Research Desk on the first floor if you need assistance.

Substitute Borrower Privileges

Students with disabilities may grant substitute borrower privileges to another designated user upon request. Substitute borrower privileges will allow the designated person to check out material in the name of the student with disabilities. The substitute borrower will not be able to check out any material to which the requesting student doesn’t have original access. Learn more about substitute borrower privileges and how it works. Submit a substitute borrower request.

Patrons requesting substitute borrower privileges for Interlibrary Loan pick up should contact the Interlibrary Loan Department at 704-687-0478.

Research Assistance

We have subject specialist librarians available to help you with your research, teach you how to conduct your own research, help you with citation formatting, and assist you with other library services. We can help you find materials in usable formats. For research help, contact us by phone at 704-687-0891, or by chat (accessible on bottom right corner of library website), or email.
